Late breaking snow

Just when we thought spring was about to unpack her bags and settle in for the duration – snow! So outdoor projects are on the back burner this weekend. No flock photo updates, no compost pile deployment, no hen house remodeling.

But the daffodils and garlic are getting up to speed. And the wild birds are starting their spring songs. The feeder has been very popular in this weather, and while our overwintering hummingbird declined to pose for a picture, it is making good use of its feeder too.
